KVVU FOX5 has become one of 85 stations in the United States to immediately offer viewers use of a social television network that connects them to an integrated viewing experience featuring extra content with the programs they watch.
ConnecTV allows viewers a number of features that allows for instant news and information, viewing parties with friends and integration with Twitter and Facebook in relation to live or time-shifted television viewing.
Touted as the biggest TV social network in the nation, ConnecTV gives viewers in Las Vegas social and community interaction while viewing the shows they enjoy on FOX5.

The service is available for free download for the iPad or on any personal computer browser at connectv.com. An application for iPhone and Android is coming later this summer.
Meredith Corporation, FOX5's parent company, announced the social network's immediate availability on June 12.
Viewers will have the opportunity to take part in local conversations sparked by FOX5 News personalities, view special companion content synced to local news programming and get a first look on promotions of upcoming programming and events.
