Fire near downtown Vegas displaces 8

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

A fire drove 8 people from a home near downtown Las Vegas Sunday.

Fire officials reported the fire in the 2600 block of E. Owens Avenue, east of Eastern Avenue, just before 4:15 p.m.

Five adults and three children were displaced from the fire.

No word on injuries or the cause of the blaze.

The American Red Cross said it is assisting the displaced people with fire relief efforts.
