LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

A 31-year-old Florida man was struck by a truck while leaving the Electric Daisy Carnival at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Monday.

The victim, who was rushed to University Medical Center in critical condition, was crossing Las Vegas Boulevard near Gate 6 when he was hit by a white Ford, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol.

Troopers said the pedestrian may have been drunk.

The driver - a Mesquite woman in her 60's - and a passenger were not injured. The driver was not expected to face charges.

The incident contributed to a massive traffic jam as fans swarmed out of the music festival.

An estimated 106,518 attended the third and final night of the event, according to Las Vegas Metro police.
