LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

Tickets to see President Barack Obama's upcoming rally at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas will be given away to students and the public through Wednesday

UNLV students began to pick up tickets on Tuesday at the Cox Pavilion and Thomas & Mack Center.

General admission tickets will be distributed to the public through 6 p.m. Wednesday. Only one ticket will be distributed per person.

Obama is scheduled to arrive at McCarran Airport just before 12:30 p.m. on Thursday. He will be in southern Nevada for less than two hours, according to the White House schedule.

The president last visited Nevada in March, where he spoke at a solar facility near Boulder City.

Republican rival Mitt Romney visited Las Vegas last week, where he delivered a speech at a furniture store and attended a high-dollar fundraiser hosted by Donald Trump.
