LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
A charity event on the Las Vegas Strip aims to raise $64,000 for an organization that puts shoes on the foot of those in need.
The event entitled "Step Up for Charity with Miller64" invites Las Vegas to help raise money for Soles4Souls Monday.
Former NBA player Bruce Bowen is teaming up with the light beer brand with a goal of raising $64,000 for the charity.
People ages 21 and up are invited to run, jog, walk or skip on the Miller64 treadmill with Bowen at the Flamingo Hotel and Casino from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Soles4Souls is a non-profit organization that provides shoes for people in need.
Each dollar collected in fundraising efforts translates into one pair of shoes to help those living in poverty.
Soles4Souls has collected between 45,000 and 60,000 pairs of shoes each week since its establishment in 2004.
