LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
A judge set $110,000 bail Monday for a Las Vegas high school softball coach accused of carrying on a sexual relationship with a student.
Albert Hernandez, 43, faces six felony charges, including sex between a school employee and student and production and distribution of child pornography.
The judge in the case said Hernandez would be given house arrest once he bails out.
He is due back in court on June 19.
According to Las Vegas Metro police, the Silverado High School softball coach had a relationship with a 17-year-old student.
Police said the relationship between Hernandez and the student carried on for months until the girl's father found out what was going on through the discovery of sexually explicit text messages and photos.
The legal age of consent in Nevada is 16, but any sexual relationship between a student and school employee is illegal, Clark County School District officials said.
Hernandez was hired as the head varsity softball coach for the school in 2009. He was terminated as a result of his arrest.
