'Crime Stoppers' in focus at Metro's First Tuesday event

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

FOX5 viewers hear it mentioned as a call to action at the end of nearly every crime story we air. Now, Metro police are using the next First Tuesday event to explain what Crime Stoppers is all about.

The public is invited to come to Metro area commands on Tuesday at 7 p.m. to learn about the program.

Crime Stoppers is an international program which handles more than 10,000 crime-related tips in Nevada alone. Attendees will learn how officers use the tip system to solve crimes.
