Red Rock Campground to close for summer

Red Rock Campground in the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area is set to close for the summer – typically a low-usage period.

The campground is located roughly two miles east of the visitor center and will close May 29, reopening Labor Day Weekend.

Still, there are many camping opportunities in the area, including:

  • Death Valley National Park, (760) 786-3200

  • Potosi Pines Camp, (702) 875-1980

In addition, camping is allowed on BLM-managed public land outside the Las Vegas Valley for up to two weeks without charge.

Sites include Bitter Spring Back Country Byway, Gold Butte Back Country Byway, Knob Hill, Virgin Mountains, Christmas Tree Pass and Logandale Trails System.
