LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
A motorist was arrested Thursday morning after attempting to flee during a traffic stop and striking a home on the city's east side, according to Las Vegas Metro police.
The suspect, who hasn't been identified, was stopped just before 7 a.m. near Harmon Avenue and Syracuse Drive.
When the officer got out of his cruiser, police said, the suspect drove off, ran a stop sign and struck a house.
The suspect then attempted to run away but was caught about a block from the crash scene, according to police.
No one in the home was injured. One of the two passengers in the vehicle was transported to Sunrise Hospital.
Police said the driver had an outstanding warrant, but did not immediately provide further details.
