LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

Clark County's Department of Air Quality issued an alert Wednesday afternoon as smoke from a northern Nevada wildfire continued to blanket the Las Vegas valley.

Officials reported unhealthy levels of ozone and dust due to the Tre Fire, and said the alert would remain in effect until Thursday afternoon.

The wildfire is burning at the Topaz Ranch Estates, about 50 miles south of Reno, near the northern Nevada-California border.

Air quality updates are posted on Clark County's website.
