Metro holding open house at new Traffic sub-station

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is inviting the public to an open house at its new Traffic sub-station, 8445 Eldora Avenue.

The open house is Saturday between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. You're invited come out and enjoy a light lunch and refreshments and tour the facility.

Officers will also have an interactive display demonstrating the effects of alcohol impairment using the "fatal vision goggles."

There will also be safety information for motorcycle and bicycle riders, a Metro vehicle and DUI van display as well as an interactive pedestrian safety demonstration. Even McGruff the Crime Dog will make an appearance.
