Following on the heels of a continued dip in Nevada's unemployment rate, a Las Vegas car dealership plans to use a hiring fair to add jobs to the state.
Fairway Chevrolet said it is hiring positions in preparation for the completion of its state-of-the-art dealership next month.
The job fair scheduled at 3100 E. Sahara Avenue on Sunday will interview applicants for positions in sales, service, parts, customer service and online marketing, among occupational areas.
The dealership said applicants do not require automotive experience to apply for any of the positions.
"Through our paid training program, we will teach you the skills, knowledge and tools you will need to be successful within our organization. Best of all, the training is paid," said Fairway General Manager Terry Hoisington.
The fair is scheduled from noon to 2 p.m.

On Friday, state employment officials said the jobless rate dipped to 11.7 percent in April. That number is the lowest it has been since 2009. Nevada, though, remains to have the highest jobless rate in the U.S.
