LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
British Airways has announced a new route from Las Vegas to Gatwick Airport in London, starting in October.
The three-times-a-week flight will be operated on a Boeing 777 that features a Club World cabin equipped with fully-flat beds.
British Airways already offers daily service between Las Vegas and London's Heathrow Airport. With the new route, British Airways will operate 10 flights per week between the cities.
"We are really proud of the success of our Las Vegas service - it certainly is a winner. Since its launch three years ago we've increased our capacity and added in a first class cabin," said Simon Talling-Smith, executive vice president, Americas. "With all that the UK has to offer this year, from the Diamond Jubilee to the Olympics and Paralympics, this is another reason to travel to London and beyond."
The Gatwick route will operate Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays, departing at 3:55 p.m. and arriving in London at 9:45 a.m. the next morning.
