Commonwealth, which is set to open this fall, is the newest addition to the bustling and hip Fremont East District.
According to owners, the bar is modeled after vintage, East Coast-style pubs. The bar also touts a 6,000-square-foot space featuring a speakeasy style bar and a centerpiece stuffed albino peacock.
A rooftop space is also part of the new establishment, which will feature open-air entertainment.
"Commonwealth speaks to the very definition of the word: for the good of the community," says partner and Las Vegas businessman Michael Parks. "We want to be part of the downtown story. A classic cocktail bar is timeless, and we feel the city block where Commonwealth will be located is building incredible momentum."
Parks joins Justin Weniger, Ryan Doherty, Kenna Warner and Pasquale Rotella in opening the new venue on East Fremont Street and Sixth Avenue.
Commonwealth urges people to check its website CommonwealthLV.com for updates on the opening. People can also follow the bar at facebook.com/commonwealthlv or twitter.com/commonwealthLV.
