LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
A motorcyclist who crashed on U.S. 93 south of the Hoover Dam on Tuesday may not have been wearing a helmet, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol.
The wreck happened in the northbound lane of the highway in Arizona at 1:40 p.m.
Arizona Highway Patrol said the victim identified as Richard McKelvey was transported by air ambulance to University Medical Center, Trauma Center.
Troopers said he sustained serious injuries.
The left lane was closed as authorities investigate the accident.
No other vehicles were involved.
