LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
Businesses in Las Vegas can take advantage of a consolidation aimed at reducing the number of licenses they are required to hold.
The city said it notified more than 5,500 businesses about the consolidation this month.
The city explained some businesses were required to hold multiple licenses. For example, a business may have had a sales license, as well as those for accessory sales and clothing sales. All of those licenses would now be consolidate under one single license.
The effort resulted in businesses needing only 241 different licenses, rather than 387.
In addition, the city has offered businesses to apply and renew their licenses online.
