LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
A membership-based prescription program in southern Nevada said it's responding to the rise of medications needed in regulating and aiding mental health.
The Medicine Cabinet, which gives its members access to name brand medication for a monthly fee, is recognizing this Mental Health Month with free psych screenings every Saturday in May.
The company's founder Janis Brooks said Clark County has seen a rise in psychotropic medication needs over the last three years.
Brooks noted, despite the rise, many people go undiagnosed for mental health issues due to the current economic climate.
The screenings are scheduled for the Medicine Cabinet, located at 1805 S. Eastern Avenue, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
In addition, the membership pharmacy said people can enroll into the Medicine Cabinet for only $30.
The pharmacy said every drug for nearly every illness is available and no co-pays are required.
