LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
According to Metro police, a 66-year-old woman was struck by a car on Harmon Avenue near Sandhill Road just before 7 p.m. Monday.
The woman was getting into her parked car when a vehicle heading westbound on Harmon crossed the median and hit her, knocking her to the ground. She suffered a contusion and was taken to a hospital in serious condition.
Police believe the person who hit the woman may have been under the effects of prescription medication.
Police shut Harmon down in both directions as they investigated.
