LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

A fire that started at a residential garage spread to a home, driving out a family Sunday night.

Las Vegas Fire and Rescue reported the fire in the 5500 block of Mare Way, near Cheyenne Avenue and Jones Boulevard, about 10:45 p.m.

According to officials, the fire broke out near a washer and dryer area of the garage. The garage took heavy flames and soon spread to the roof of the house.

All four people, who included two adults and two children, as well as three dogs, escaped the fire without injury.

Fire crews took 30 minutes to put the fire out.

Fire officials believe the blaze was accidental.

Damage was estimated at $100,000.

The American Red Cross is assisting the family with relief efforts following the fire.
