NORTH LAS VEGAS, NV (FOX5) -

A 3-year-old boy was hit by a car Friday afternoon while he was playing in the street, police said.

It happened at around 5:15 p.m. on Daley Street near Las Vegas Boulevard and Civic Center Drive.

Police said the child is being treated at UMC but that is injuries are not life-threatening.

The driver stayed at the scene and there is no indication alcohol or speeding was involved.

On Thursday night, a 3-year-old girl was struck by a vehicle just before 7:45 p.m., also near Civic Center Drive and Las Vegas Boulevard.

The child's injuries are not life-threatening.

Police told FOX5 it does not appear the little girl was in a crosswalk when she was struck. She was chasing a ball into the street when she was hit.

North Las Vegas police want to remind parents that children shouldn't be playing in the street and should never be left unattended.
