
A Las Vegas man was sentenced to life in prison this week for the shooting death of a former Olympic boxer in 2008.
Roger Randolph must also serve a consecutive sentence 16-year sentence. He will not be eligible for parole for at least 21 years.
The victim, Rhoshii Wells, was shot Aug. 11, 2008, at an apartment on Lamb Boulevard near Bonanza Road. Wells, 31, won a bronze medal at the 1996 Summer Olympics.
Randolph claimed he shot Wells in self-defense during an argument.
