
A West Springfield man remains in intensive care after colliding with a car in Springfield on Wednesday morning.
Springfield police said that Ernie Santiago was traveling east on State Street on his motorcycle when he struck the front bumper of a car that was attempting to cross Austin Street to Colonial Avenue.
The collision sent Santiago flying into a parking lot.
The motorcycle then burst into flames.
A Good Samaritan pulled Santiago away from the flames.
Police tell CBS 3 speed is a possible cause of the accident.
