Woman, child struck by car on Flamingo Road

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

Las Vegas Metro police said a woman and a child on a stroller were hit by a vehicle while crossing a street Wednesday morning.

Police reported the collision on Flamingo Road at Algonquin Drive, east of Maryland Parkway, just before 11 a.m.

According to Metro, the woman pushing the stroller appeared to have been crossing the road at a crosswalk.

Authorities reported minor injuries to both the woman and child. Witnesses told police the child appeared to be two to three years old.

The westbound lanes of Flamingo were shut down after the incident.
