The Las Vegas Strip entrance to the Imperial Palace hotel will soon close as Caesars Entertainment continues construction of its LINQ entertainment district.
The company said a detour route will bring visitors through the east end of the property to valet and self parking. The Strip entrance at neighboring Harrah's Casino can also be used as an alternate entrance.
The frontage closure also involves the property's Rockhouse nightclub. Its permanent closure is planned for May 6.
Caesars said a temporary pedestrian entrance for customers will be open from Las Vegas Boulevard on the north side gated area of the property. The entrance will be in place until construction of the new main pedestrian entrance at Harrah's Carnaval Court is complete.
The planned closures follow the end of sister property O'Sheas Casino's 23-year run. The Irish-themed property, which is adjacent to the Imperial Palace, closed on Monday.
O'Sheas' parking garage was demolished by planned implosion just hours later.
