Posted: Updated:
LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

The Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) of Southern Nevada wants to know what the community thinks about proposed transit fare adjustments.

The RTC is looking to increase several different fares, to help with its strained budget.

It is inviting locals to attend upcoming public outreach sessions to learn more about the transit fare proposals.

A meeting is scheduled for Wednesday from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Centennial Hills Transit Center at 7313 Grand Montecito Parkway.

A second public hearing on the proposals will be May 12 at the Bonneville Transit Center from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The RTC also is accepting public comments on the transit fares.

You can leave a comment by calling (702) 676-1557, or by visiting the RTC web site.
