Authorities have released the name of a woman who was struck by a suspected drunk driver over the weekend.
The Clark County Coroner's office said Becky Kunkel, 58, died when she was struck by a vehicle.
Las Vegas Metro police said she and August Kunkel, 54, were crossing Craig Road near Las Vegas Boulevard just after 11 p.m. Saturday when they were struck by a Nissan sport-utility vehicle.
They were struck while outside a crosswalk, police said.
Both victims were transported to University Medical Center. Becky later died while August was being treated in critical condition.
The driver, Regina Thomas, 38, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and was booked into the Clark County Detention Center.
Metro police said Becky Kunkel represented the 45th traffic-related fatality this year.
