LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

A portion of the Las Vegas Strip was closed early Tuesday morning for the implosion of the seven-story O'Sheas Casino parking garage.

The structure is being torn down to make way for Caesars Entertainment's LINQ project, a $550 million entertainment district that will include a revamped O'Sheas and a 550-foot observation wheel.

Demolition crews began setting up signs at barricades 90 minutes before the 2:30 a.m. implosion.

All of the roads near the parking garage were closed, but are now open to pedestrian and vehicle traffic.
