LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
Organizers of a day dedicated to heroics want people to celebrate their inner super hero.
Saturday, April 28th is set aside for National Superhero Day.
The day was created by Marvel Comics in 1995 as a way to celebrate Batman, Captain America, and Superwoman.
Superhero Day, though, is not just about wearing a cape or wishing for x-ray vision.
Organizers said it's a way to give back to the community. Anybody can be a superhero by doing something nice, volunteering or donating time or money to a charity.
By the way, the awesome capes seen on FOX5 Friday morning were custom made by PowerCapes.com.
