NORTH LAS VEGAS, NV (FOX5) -
North Las Vegas Police are on a manhunt for a suspect who shot and killed two men and critically wounded two women early Thursday morning.
The shooting on Webster Street near Civic Center and Lake Mead Boulevard rattled many in the predominantly Hispanic neighborhood.
"I can tell you we did get calls from neighbors so there are going to be witnesses," said Sgt. Tim Bedwell from North Las Vegas Police. "The main concern for us is, we do have a murder suspect on the loose."
Michael McGilbert, who lives nearby, admits he didn't know the people living in the apartment, but heard them often.
"These are young kids and they're out here just drinking and going on and everything," he said.
The last time it happened was last weekend, when, according to McGilbert, as many as 15 people were out drinking and partying in front of the apartment.
Bedwell wouldn't say if the victims were related, but did add that detectives have leads that they are following.
"I would say we don't believe this is a random type of killing - going into a random home, shooting people," he said.
The two male victims died at the scene; the two female victims remain in critical condition with life-threatening wounds at UMC.
