Wranglers advance to Western Conference Finals

The Las Vegas Wranglers have iced another competitor in their quest for the Kelly Cup and are headed to the Western Conference Finals.

The Wranglers eliminated the Idaho Steelheads Sunday night in overtime, and Monday announced the playoff schedule against the Alaska Aces:

• Game 1 on Thursday, April 26, at 7:05 p.m. - Orleans Arena
• Game 2 on Friday, April 27, at 7:05 p.m. - Orleans Arena
• Game 3 on Sunday, April 29, at 8:15 p.m. - Sullivan Arena in Anchorage, Ala.
• Game 4 on Tuesday, May 1, at 8:15 p.m. - Sullivan Arena
• Game 5 on Wednesday, May 2, at 8:15 p.m. (if necessary) - Sullivan Arena
• Game 6 on Friday, May 4, at 8:15 p.m. (if necessary) - Sullivan Arena
• Game 7 on Wednesday, May 9, at 7:05 p.m. (if necessary) - Orleans Arena

Both the Wranglers and the Aces took their respective second round series 4 to 1. During the regular season, the Wranglers had a 5-3-0-1 record against the Aces, going 3-1-0 at home and 2-2-1 on the road.

The winner will advance to play the winner of the Eastern Conference Finals – either the Florida Everblades or the Kalamazoo Wings – for the 2012 Kelly Cup.
