Teammates honor lost little-leaguer

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

Tuesday night at Red Ridge Park, the AA Cardinals little league team observed a moment of silence and held a ceremonial opening pitch for lost teammate Spencer Melvin.

Spencer collapsed and died before a game a week ago. It's suspected Spencer suffered cardiac arrest.

On Saturday, a dinner/fundraiser was held to raise money for Spencer's family.

Peccole Little League has set up a trust account for the Melvin Family at Chase Bank. Any Chase Bank can accept donations. The account info is:
