PAHRUMP, NV (FOX5) -

A Pahrump man was charged with assault and resisting an officer following a road rage incident that led to a scuffle with a Nye County sheriff's deputy.

That's according to an arrest report for 63-year-old David Fann. Authorities said a deputy patrolling the area of Highway 372 and Raindance Drive on Sunday was flagged down by three people in a road rage dispute.

Fann was "immediately aggressive" and "took a swing" at the deputy, according to the report, forcing the deputy to knock Fann to the ground.

A second deputy arrived and helped put Fann in handcuffs, police said. He was then booked into the Nye County Detention Center.
