Passenger killed after vehicle strikes palm tree - FOX5 Vegas - KVVU

One teenager is dead and another is in serious condition after an early morning accident on Centennial Center near Azure Drive.
Metro said the accident happened at approximately 4 a.m. Saturday.
Witness statements and evidence at the scene indicated Zackery Richardson, the driver of a 1991 Nissan and a passenger were traveling northbound on Centennial Center, south of Azure Drive when Richardson lost control of the vehicle and began sliding sideways.
The Nissan crossed over the median, and the passenger side of the vehicle struck a palm tree.
The passenger of the Nissan was pronounced dead on the scene.
Richardson was transported to University Medical Center Trauma with serious injuries.
This is the 40th traffic related fatality in LVMPD's jurisdiction.
