Decision day arrives for Shabazz Muhammad

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

It may not be on the scale of Lebron James' televised "Decision" from 2010, but Bishop Gorman High School basketball star Shabazz Muhammad's announcement on where he will play college hoops has some big implications.

The Las Vegas hoops star, who just came off a Most Valuable Player performance at the McDonald's High School All American Game, is set to announce where he will matriculate in the fall.

The announcement will be televised live on ESPNU at 4:30 p.m. PDT.

Muhammad has become a big recruiting magnet for some of the top programs in the country.

After his star turning performance in the McDonald's game, Muhammad listed University of California, Los Angeles, Kentucky and Duke as possible landing spots, noticeably leaving out University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

Just in the last week, bloggers have Kentucky winning the Muhammad sweepstakes after the school's national championship win.

Wherever Muhammad lands, that school will take advantage of the 6'6" swingman's scoring prowess.

Late Monday night, Muhammad even tweeted a photo displaying the national letters of intent from the three schools he is considering.

Stay tuned to FOX5 on Shabazz Muhammad's announcement Wednesday.
