LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
A man who carried out a murder-suicide called 911 to report he had killed his wife and was about to kill himself, according to Henderson police.
The deceased have been identified by the Clark County coroner as 51-year-old Curt M. Jillson and 61-year-old Kai Chen Jillson.
The call came just before midnight from a home on Thayer Avenue, near Windmill and Green Valley parkways.
Authorities said the caller told a 911 operator he had left the front door unlocked just before hanging up the phone.
A SWAT robot entered the home and found the couple dead of apparent gunshot wounds.
Their three dogs - two Jack Russell terriers and a Chihuahua - were found dead in a backyard swimming pool.
A neighbor told FOX5 the couple had lived in the home for about 15 years.
Curt Jillson was a dice deal at Paris Hotel on the Strip.
Co-worker and friend Kerry Foster says Curt Jillson could be moody but gave no indication that something like this would happen, although some co-workers had doubts.
"People have made those kind of comments that they hope they're not at work the day he decides to come in on a shooting spree," Foster said.
Foster had gone hiking with the couple and said she never saw any friction between them.
"Nothing ever said rude, out of context, belittling. He would say, 'I love you,'" Foster said.
Police said there was no history of domestic violence at the house.
