LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

Traffic on Jones Boulevard will be diverted at the northern stretch of the 215 Beltway Sunday night as crews work on a new bridge.

The lane shift and the activation of a temporary traffic signal are scheduled to start at 9 p.m. that night and will go on until 6 a.m. Monday, Clark County officials said.

Traffic on the Beltway will be shifted slightly to the south during this time, officials said.

Clark County said a lane shift similar to this one was recently in place at Decatur Boulevard to make way for work on a new bridge there.

Officials also expect Bradley Road to close permanently at the Beltway to make way for similar bridge work.

The construction project is part of a $116 million project to improve interchanges on the Northern Clark County 215 Beltway.

Work is expected to be finished by 2014.
