TYLER, TX (KLTV) -

Four TCU students have been taken to a local hospital after a crash on Loop 323.

The crash happened on Loop 323 near Old Henderson Hwy. around 12:40p.m.

According to Tyler Police, the driver identified as 22-year-old Jonathan Sanfelippo from Tyler, told officers a white car may have caused the crash by forcing a red SUV to hit an embankment and flip landing on its roof.

The passengers in the vehicle have been identified as 22-year-old Tim Bloomfield, 22-year-old Marshall Weber and 20-year-old Reeves Sodoma. Both the driver and the passengers were taken to a local hospital where they will be released with minor injuries.

Police say the four college students from Texas Christian University were heading to Florida for a Spring Break trip at the time of the crash.

The white car mentioned by the driver has not been located. Police do not have a good description on the vehicle other than it being a white car.

Police mentioned alcohol was inside the red SUV but no alcohol was detected on the driver and say it was just being transported for their Florida trip.
