LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

O'Sheas Casino, a Strip destination popular for its cheap drinks and beer pong, will be permanently closed on April 30, according to a memo sent to an employee and obtained by FOX5.

The memo states that the worker's position will be eliminated and there are no "bumping rights" which would allow the employee to replace another due to seniority.

Caesars Entertainment, which owns O'Sheas, plans to host all-employee meetings, although there are no guarantees of continued employment with the company, according to the memo.

Although there is no mention of it in the memo, Caesars had previously announced plans to close O'Sheas as part of its $550 million Linq project.

The outdoor entertainment district will combine shopping, dining and gambling with a 550-foot observation wheel.

In a separate memo obtained by FOX5, Caesars Entertainment announces plans to close the O'Sheas parking garage on March 19, with demolition slated to begin the next day.

Caesars Entertainment did not immediately respond to requests for comment on the closures.
