Rice, Kruger to host Party with a Purpose benefit

University of Nevada, Las Vegas men's basketball coach Dave Rice will join forces with his predecessor, former Runnin' Rebels and current University of Oklahoma coach Lon Kruger, for the fifth annual Party with a Purpose this May.

The two coaches will play host to some of the game's top coaches, current and former players, celebrities and fans to support the American Cancer Society.

The three-day event kicks off Sunday, May 20 with a benefit at the Hyde Lounge at Bellagio Las Vegas.

The benefit is open to the public and tickets start at $100 per person. That price includes food, drinks and entertainment.

The three days will also include the Coaches vs. Cancer Golf Classic scheduled to be played at Shadow Creek Golf Course and Southern Highlands Golf Club on Monday, May 21 and Tuesday, May 22, respectively.

Basketball coaches will join legends such as Julius Erving and celebrities like Toby Keith and Rodney Carrington in the tournament.
