Vegas Ward 2 candidate filing ends Wednesday

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

Residents of Las Vegas' Ward 2 who are interested in running for the council seat left vacant by Steve Wolfson will have until 5 p.m. Wednesday to file for candidacy.

The City Clerk's office will receive candidate filings for the Ward 2 special election set for Mar. 20.

The City Council is looking to fill the seat left vacant by Wolfson, who was sworn in Tuesday as the new Clark County District Attorney.

The City Clerk's office is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the new Las Vegas City Hall on Main Street between Lewis and Clark avenues.
