LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
Former Las Vegas City Council member Steve Wolfson was sworn in Tuesday as Clark County's new district attorney.
Wolfson was appointed to the position last month following the resignation of David Roger. He will fill the remaining years of Roger's term, which expires in 2015.
A graduate of San Diego State University and California Western School of Law, Wolfson was first appointed to the City Council in 2004. His second term was to expire in June 2013.
The City Council voted last week to hold a March 20 special election to fill Wolfson's Ward 2 seat.
Nevada state Sen. Bob Beers, Metro police veteran Bob Chinn and businessman Ric Truesdell were among those who filed their candidacy for the election on Tuesday.
