Vegas Latin Chamber donating 162K school textbooks

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

The Latin Chamber of Commerce and Another Joy Foundation are donating almost 162,000 textbooks to Nevada classrooms.

The books will go to the Public Education Foundation. Those books have an estimated retail value of $6.8 million, organizers said.

The books cover subjects ranging from math to language arts and are for students of all ages.

Schools will start getting the books within the next 30 days.

At least 25 schools will benefit from the donation.

The book donation will be announced during the Latin Chamber's February luncheon at the Suncoast Hotel & Casino.
