FOX5 Vegas - KVVU$600K in scholarships up for grabs to Vegas students

More than $600,000 in scholarships are expected to be rewarded to Las Vegas high school seniors who are planning to go on to college.
The Public Education Foundation said the deadline to submit applications for more than 440 scholarships is Feb. 29.
A variety of scholarships will be awarded from a cross-section of community leaders, businesses, organizations, individuals and families, the organization said.
The award amounts range from $500 to $10,000 based on academic achievement, planned area of study or financial need.
Applicants may apply for more than one scholarship.
Applications are available at www.thepef.org.
Those applicants wanting to be consider for eligibility may deliver their applications to the Foundation's office at 3360 W. Sahara Avenue, Suite 160, Las Vegas, NV 89102. Applications can be dropped off or postmarked on or before Feb. 29.
