Madonna books world tour, Vegas concert in October

Pop legend Madonna will bring her 2012 world tour to Las Vegas Oct. 13 with tickets for that show set for sale beginning Feb. 27.

Concert promoters Live Nation Entertainment announced the world tour Monday, the day after the pop singer's starring role in the Super Bowl XLVI halftime show.

Madonna's stop in Las Vegas is scheduled to be at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

Tickets will be available Monday, Feb. 27 at 10 a.m. at livenation.com, the MGM Grand Garden box office and all Ticketmaster outlets.

Tickets will also be available by phone at 1-800-745-3000.

According to Ticketmaster's website, tickets for the show range from $48 to $383, excluding fees.

Live Nation said the world tour will kick off May 29 in Tel Aviv, Israel. The North American leg of the tour is scheduled to begin Aug. 28 in Philadelphia.

Madonna will tour in support of her upcoming album "MDNA", which is due for release Mar. 26. This is Madonna's twelfth studio album.
