NLV police release results of driving enforcement patrols

North Las Vegas police gave 13 speeding tickets and caught six for failing to yield to drivers or pedestrians during a driving enforcement period last month.

NLVPD released Monday the numbers to its Joining Forces patrol during the week of January 24. Three patrols occurred across major intersections across the Las Vegas area.

In addition, the other citations were given, as follows:

  • 10 driver's license violations;
  • 9 registration violations;
  • 5 equipment violations;
  • 16 no-insurance violations;
  • 58 red light violations;
  • 4 seat belt/child restraint violations;
  • 23 other violations;
  • 25 warnings issued.

North Las Vegas police worked three saturation patrols with officers from other law enforcement agencies in southern Nevada.

The patrols were made possible by a traffic safety grant from the Nevada Department of Public Safety.
