Safe Nest moved its donation center at the beginning of February to accommodate an increasing variety of donations, the nonprofit organization said Monday.
The organization that helps people who have experienced domestic abuse said the expanded facility is at 4208 N. Arcata Way, Suite C, just west of Interstate 15 and two blocks south of Craig Road.
"The expansion of the donation center allows Safe Nest to increase the types of donations we can accept," said Ben Vitale, Donation Center Director.
In addition to accepting gently used clothing, small household items, old cell phones and recyclable items, the center will now take large household appliances like washers, dryers and water heaters in any condition.
Donations may be dropped off Monday through Friday, from 7:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. A home pick-up can also be scheduled by calling 702-257-3800.
Vehicle donations may also be arranged by calling 702-203-8661.
