Saturday night is all about celebrating and giving back to our local heroes.
"Heroes Night" at Orleans Ice Arena will include the Guns & Hoses charity games as well a game between the Las Vegas Wranglers and the Alaska Aces to benefit the Injured Police Officers Fund and The Firefighters of Southern Nevada Burn Foundation.
Three Metro officers will have the honor of dropping the ceremonial first puck for the Wranglers game. Officers Thomas O'Connell, Stephen Parrish and Allyn Goonrich stopped an assault in progress last month near the Las Vegas Strip.
About 30 local police officers and firefighters will compete in the Guns & Hoses game. Tickets are $10 for adults, free for children under 12. You may purchase tickets at the Orleans box office.
