LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
The Democratic National Committee moved quickly Thursday to blunt Donald Trump's endorsement of Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney with a video mocking both men.
The 43-second YouTube clip includes some of Trump's past criticism of the GOP frontrunner and claims the two have "something in common."
"They both like firing people," the ad proclaims, before showing Trump's signature "You're fired" catchphrase from his "Apprentice" game show, followed by Romney's highly-criticized "I like being able to fire people" remark.
Trump announced Wednesday that he was flying to Las Vegas to make a "major announcement" dealing with the presidential race.
Sources close to the Associated Press said he would endorse the former Massachusetts governor.
In a 2011 interview, Trump said he believed Romney would lose because he "doesn't resonate," and later took offense when the candidate declined to appear at a Trump-hosted debate.
"I was surprised because as you know, he wants my endorsement very, very badly," Trump told CNN.
