HENDERSON, NV (FOX5) -
A Las Vegas-area pastor is in jail following a months-long manhunt. Otis Holland's run from the law ended Wednesday night in Tijuana, Mexico.
Holland, 55, is accused of having sex with underage girls at various locations in Henderson and Las Vegas.
The U.S. Marshals and Mexican National Police worked together to make the arrest after a tip came in from a viewer who watched America's Most Wanted. Holland was featured in an episode this past weekend.
One man who knows the pastor and welcomed him to hold services inside his storefront told FOX5 his disgust and fear has turned to relief.
"It's a closure, I think," said the man, who requested not to be identified. "I know the victims personally, and so I know they were pretty hurt by everything."
Holland led services for the United Faith Church at the storefront near Hacienda and Eastern for several months.
He was originally arrested in December 2010 and, after further investigation, more charges were filed in January of last year.
Holland fled the valley in June as more alleged victims came forward, and on Wednesday night, he was found hiding out at a local church in Tijuana.
"Within 12 hours of getting the tip, Otis Holland was in custody," said Henderson police spokesman Keith Paul.
One alleged victim shared her encounter on America's Most Wanted. She says, "(Holland) made sure that before he laid a hand on me, that he had my complete and total trust in him."
The church has since left the storefront property, and the owner offered a $10,000 reward for Holland's capture. Now he feels justice has been done.
"We just didn't want him to hurt someone else. He could have been in another church hurting more victims - more children," he said.
Holland is being held in San Diego until he is extradited back to Nevada. He is facing 11 counts of sexual assault of a victim under 16.
