The Hakkasan Network, which operates restaurants in London, Dubai and Mumbai, announced Tuesday that it will open its first dining and nightlife venue in Las Vegas in December.
The company has partnered with Angel Management Group to open Hakkasan Las Vegas in the space currently occupied by Studio 54 inside the MGM Grand Las Vegas.
The 14-year-old Studio 54 is scheduled to close Feb. 4. Hakkasan will oversee the expansion of the club into an indoor-outdoor venue with views of the Las Vegas Strip.
Hakkasan specializes in Cantonese cuisine. It opened its first restaurant, Hakkasan Hanway Place, in 2001 in London.
The company is also opening a restaurant in New York later this year.
